Retro Honpo

レトロ本舗 (pronounced Retro Honpo) is an eight-member Third wave J-ska or Pop-ska band from Kobe, Japan. In Japanese, 'Honpo' means head Office or headquarters.
== Biography ==

Self-styled as a "mixture of Ska, Polka, Rustic, and Rock 'n' Roll",〔() Retro honpo's Myspace page〕 Retro honpo is uniquely defined by their dual female lead vocals, and complementing horns, organ, etc. They often sport outfits reminiscent of the 60s and 70s.
Their live shows are quite entertaining as the band has created dance moves for each song. Also, their songs tend to be shorter, more anthemic works with a prominent chorus that stresses interaction with the audience. A Third Wave, their music could also be described as "circus ska."
They are regular performers at the Going Kobe festival. GoingKobe'08 festival featured some 90-some bands to benefit victims of the 2008 Niigata Earthquake.〔()〕
Their song 走れ!スクーター!(Hashire! Scooter!) was featured in the PS2 version of Pop'n Music 14 Fever.
